2010 March SFTE Flyer
The SFTE Symposium 2010 will be hosted by the Patuxent River SFTE Chapter 13 – 16 Sep 2010 at the Gaylord Convention Center within the Washington DC metro area at National Harbor, MD.
The theme will be “Enhancing Air Vehicle and Mission Systems Flight Testing in an Austere Fiscal Environment”.
A call for abstracts is located on the SFTE Symposium website. Abstracts are due 1 March.

There will be no PAX River SFTE Chapter meeting this month, due to scheduling conflicts with presenters. Future chapter meeting presentations are in the works, including improved wepons separation analysis (presented at the SFTE EU Symposium) and the role of modeling and simulation in test and evaluation.
The 13 August SFTE/ITEA/SETP luncheon was a great success. Ms. Carla Jackson spoke on “Being a Woman Flight Test Engineer” and we enjoyed lunch at the Officer’s Club. This luncheon was held in lieu of this months originally scheduled 28 August meeting.
The September monthly meeting is scheduled for 11 September. The chapter Secretary, Rob Benner, will present his paper “Performance and Perception of Precision Approach and Landing Systems Aboard USS HARRY S. TRUMAN.” This paper has been accepted for presentation at the upcoming SFTE International Symposium in Ft. Worth, TX, and at the SFTE European Chapter Symposium in Ingolstadt, Germany.
